Hungry Toddlers?? š§š§ Looking for an easy Sunday lunch? Read on!
āā-
Ever feel like holding your breath (and maybe even investing in earplugs) as you load up your children for the drive home from church?! š
Yep, guilty here!!
Many a time, we have driven out of the parking lot with fussy children, & I USED to think
should we just stop on the way home to grab a bite to eat so we don't have to listen to them??
AND so I don't have to try to come up with something ASAP when we get home while the baby is hanging on to my skirt??
Sound familiar??
Read on to find what I do to avoid that crazy time right after coming home!!
It's really very easy, but it does require a little bit of forethought...
Remember that beef roast that's in the freezer from when you bought a side of beef?? Click here for more details on grass-fed beef.
Yeah, that rump... or chuck roast or ....maybe even that beef brisket (one of our favs!)...
Pull the thawed meat out of your fridge on Sat eve around 9:00 or just before going to bed.
Pour 1 1/2 qts. warm water into your crockpot, & turn to low heat.
Take the wrapping off meat & place into the crockpot, sprinkle generously with salt, black pepper, & garlic powder.
Pour 3 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar over the meat. Pour 2 Tbsp. Real lemon Juice or squeeze 1 lemon over meat.
Cover with lid.
Go to bed!š“
Sunday morning: Uncover crockpot & add 1 potato per person & place lid back on.(Potatoes need 3 hours on low heat.)
Go to Church! ā
Enjoy fellowshipping after church, knowing lunch is ready for your hungry crew!!
After arriving home, fix a quick tossed salad (or make extra for dinner the eve b4 & serve the leftovers in a nice clear bowl, NOBODY will know!!),
Put potatoes on a serving plate, place your yummy, mouth-watering meat on a platter,
AND... I'll let you in on my little secret.....š
Drizzle the meat with raw honey!!
Sit down to eat within 5 min. of arriving home!!
Yep! That's it!
Your family will think you went to TONS of trouble to have such a delicious meal!!
Oh! Fix this for guests, I promise, YOU WILL get rave reviews!!!
Just doing these simple steps have really helped our Sunday lunches be more peaceful!
Yes, we still have the tired, hungry complaints on the way home at times,
but at least I know lunch is ready when we get home & I don't feel guilty for stopping for empty calories (aka fast-food). For benefits of REAL food click here.
And I might or might not be guilty of turning the music up on the way home to drown out the complaints!!šš¤£
