Cheese Making/Dairy Processing Position

We are seeking a person to help out on our farm in our dairy processing room.

Heavy-lifting

There is some back labor involved and semi-heavy lifting needed... 30 lb.cheese blocks and 5-gallon buckets of milk 

Hours:

Potentially 40 hours/week

Pay

Pay will reflect experience.

Experience

Previous cheese making would be amazing but not necessary.

*Please don’t apply if you don’t have a desire to learn cheesemaking.

The position would include, but not limited to:

• Cheesemaking; currently we have 13 kinds

• Packaging cheese

• Butter making 

• Yogurt Making

• Kefir

• Ice Cream

• Cottage cheese 

• Keeping track of inventory

• Keeping processing records

Employee prospect must:

• Be interested in the art of cheesemaking

• Have a cell phone ... easy to get a hold of 

• Be ok working alone but also sharing some space with other team members…

• Be willing to be a Farm Store employee when the family goes on vacation

• Be 18+ years old

Personality:

Friendly, 

Willing to occasionally interact with customers, 

Kid-friendly… we are a family farm with children

Open-minded, (we are not a traditional farm)

Willing to try new things,

Cleanliness is a must… we are working with food products.

Self-Motivated/great work ethic

We are a working farm & need all workers to be engaged in the ongoing growth of the business.
