Do leftovers overwhelm you?🤷🏻♀️
They frustrate me.🤫 yep. I admit it.
Let me explain…
I spend a lot of time preparing the meal and then excitedly everyone sits down to eat.
I love meal time! It’s a time when we all gather & everyone shares a part of their day.
It’s where we discuss plans, our wins & losses, and our prayer requests.💕
It’s all fine & dandy until... we need to clean up.🙃
Sigh.
And then!
I have to do something with the leftovers!😍
Now, I don’t mind eating leftovers,
I just don’t like finding a container to put them in & getting them into the fridge!
I want to be done right after we eat!
We’ve got it figured out now, that leftovers will go into a small casserole dish & the next day they are warmed up for lunch.
Makes amazingly quick lunches!!
So now, when I realize I’m helping the next meal, it gives me the motivation needed to clean up & get the leftovers in the fridge!😍
Spiral Cut Hams can be a bit overwhelming…
I’ve got a pro-tip for you!
I take whatever is left from the initial baking,
Divide it into piles enough for a meal.
Grab some quart freezer baggies & bag each pile into separate baggies.
Place the filled bags in the freezer.
Now when I need a quick lunch, I grab one of those baggies out of the freezer, thaw, & make toasted ham & cheese sandwiches.
Actually, my children make their own lunch & this is as simple as it gets. 😍
And I don’t have to stop my day to figure out what is for lunch.
So now, when I bake a ham, I HOPE I have leftovers! 😍
It’s like gold on a busy day!
Ham Pot Pie
I will also cook the ham bone & the meat still stuck to it in water for 12+ hours & make ham pot pie for another meal.
Use your favorite chicken pot pie recipe & exchange the chicken for the ham!
This is a family favorite!😋
