Wow!! Isn't raw butter Amazing!!
Writing this blog post really tugged at my mama's heart!!
I'm always searching for more & better ways to feed my children!👧👦
Read on for ideas in how I get raw butter in our diet!!
When I first read about healthy fats, I was desperate to get my children to ingest some!!😋
Almost too desperate!
I mean I put it in & on everything!! (Just ask my eldest!) and then I noticed some of my children stopped eating certain foods...
Yes..., they didn't like this 'new' flavor I had started adding to EVERYTHING!
"But CHILDREN! You have GOT TO EAT IT! It's sooo good for you!"😯
My dear husband kindly said," Everything in moderation."
So if you are feeling like I did😉 let me give you a few words of wisdom!
First of all, start in slowly!
A little bit here and a little bit there!
My children had to acquire a taste for it!
Here are a few ideas:
Probably the easiest for us was to add a couple tablespoons to our favorite smoothies. We drink lots of smoothies so I started with a small amount & gradually added more. Be sure to blend it really well!!
Adding a teaspoon to cooked veggies just before serving.
Lathering a roast with butter before cooking it on low in the crockpot will help keep it moist & add flavor. Or put a few tablespoons on your hot meat & let the butter melt & then drizzle with honey before serving.
Another favorite way is to make scrambled egg sandwiches for breakfast...
Lather your whole wheat bread with butter,
Put a thick piece of raw milk cheese🧀 on top (another healthy fat),
Top with your scrambled egg.
Place the sandwich in your skillet & toast the bottom side till cheese has started to melt!
Top with fresh tomatoes and serve with a glass of whole raw milk. Remember cream is another healthy fat so be sure to drink your milk whole!!
This is an amazing breakfast AND it gets lots of fats to your brain in the morning!
These fats & proteins WILL give you the energy to keep up with your children + all your other mother/wife/housekeeper duties!!
And adding these fats to your children's diet will not only help them develop well but will also feed their brain to make schoolwork easier!!
Keep implementing healthy fats in your diet & watch your brain fog disappear!!
I can testify since we make sure to get fats in our diet each day, I have noticed a difference in my energy levels!!
And before you know it, your children will love the taste of raw butter!!
