It’s loaded with lots & lots of beneficial bacteria.

It helps heal & maintain great gut health… gut health has been said to be the biggest indicator of overall health.

We take raw milk kefir daily, either in smoothies or mixed with a little honey & vanilla. And yes, even my children take it!

Yogurt is our go-to food when any of the children are feeling under the weather!

Yogurt is another great probiotic.   Adding yogurt to your daily diet helps boost the immune system & aids greatly in the digestive role.

✔Bone Broth

Ahhh, yes!  Bone broth is amazing! 

It is rich in minerals that our diets often don’t have. The gelatin in bone broth supports the digestive tract.

Not only is it easily digestible it aids in digesting other foods.💯


Bone broth helps fight inflammation, therefore it helps protect against disease.

📣Remember, being proactive is much easier & less stressful than being reactive!🙌



I try to add bone broth to all our soups, sauces, casseroles, & we often drink it as well.

It’s really simple to make. 

All you really need is a large pot, water, vinegar, and bones.

To get you started here is an easy recipe you can follow:

Ingredients:

  • 1 gallon (4 liters) of water

  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) apple cider vinegar

  • 2–4 pounds (about 1–2 kg) of animal bones

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a large pot or slow cooker.

  2. Bring to a boil.

  3. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 12–24 hours. The longer it cooks, the better it will taste and more nutritious it will be.

  4. Allow the broth to cool. Strain it into a large container and discard the solids.

In order to make the most nutritious broth, it is best to use a variety of bones — marrow bones, oxtail, knuckles, and feet. You can even mix and match bones in the same batch.

Adding vinegar is important because it helps pull all of the valuable nutrients out of the bones and into the water, which is ultimately what you will be consuming.

You can also add vegetables, herbs or spices to your broth to enhance the flavor.

Common additions include garlic, onion, celery, carrot, parsley, and thyme. 🥕🧅🧄🥬🍄These can be added right away in step one.

I like to add the herbs & vegetables as the end product is much tastier!

And the last one I want to highlight… is REAL, good for you, meats! 

This might seem like a no-brainer, but I can’t stress highly enough how important it is to know how your meats are raised!
